Bowen SDA Progress Update
It’s a busy time at Leben Homes! Our Rockhampton SDA and our SDA in Mackay are complete, and our new Bowen SDA isn’t far behind.
The structure is complete and the interior framing and fitout has commenced. We are excited to announce that our 4 High Physical Support, Fully Accessible & Improved Liveability SDA homes are expected to be complete in mid 2023.
What to expect at our Bowen SDA
Leben Homes SDA apartments have been built in accordance with the Australian National Construction Code and the SDA Design Standard to meet the requirements for the High Physical Support, Fully Accessible and Improved Liveability accommodations categories. Each of our four apartments are made with essential design features including:
an auto-controlled garage door
a building entrance that accommodates access by wheelchair
a lift with an auto-controlled door
an auto-controlled entrance to the unit
an auto-controlled bedroom entrance
provisions for an overhead hoist to provide access between the bedroom and the ensuite.
a secure entrance that is auto-controlled by residents and requires visitors to call-in
an adjustable height bench
an adjustable height cupboard and microwave
a pull-out dishwasher
With the use of high-quality finishes and cutting-edge technology, our Bowen SDA will include features that go well above the SDA Design Standard with inclusions like:
a hydrotherapy pool for exercise with the provisions for an overhead hoist
a calming sensory garden complete with a designated space for lawn games and a herb wall growing basil, parsley, oregano, thyme and mint.
a balcony in each apartment with an auto-controlled entrance and step-free access
smart technology that controls the lights, fans, and air conditioning.
an Ipad for each unit with smart control technology
tinted glass to reduce heat and glare
an auto-electric robe hanger
auto electric blinds
a barbecue onsite to entertain
onsite overnight accommodation
a multi-purpose room with space available for a massage table and therapy
