We have come a long way since breaking ground in early February. Behind the scenes the Leben Homes team has been working tirelessly to bring our Rockhampton SDA to life. Our 6 ‘High Physical Support’, ‘Fully Accessible’ and ‘Improved Liveability’ SDA homes are now well underway and are expected to be complete by the end of 2022.

What to expect at our Rockhampton SDA

Our SDA homes are designed in accordance with the Australian National Construction Code and the SDA Design Standard to meet the requirements for the High Physical Support, Fully Accessible and Improved Liveability accommodations categories. Each of our six apartments are made with essential design features like:

an auto-controlled garage door
a building entrance that accommodates access by wheelchair
a secure entrance that is auto-controlled by residents and requires visitors to call-in
an auto-controlled lift door
an auto-controlled entrance to the unit
an auto-controlled bedroom entrance
provisions for an overhead hoist to provide access between the bedroom and the ensuite.

Our Rockhampton SDA will also use high-quality finishes and cutting-edge technology and include features that go above and beyond the SDA Design Standard with inclusions like:

a balcony in each apartment with an auto-controlled entrance and step-free access
a calming and serene therapy pool with provisions for an overhead hoist to provide access
a sensory garden.
