March Events Recap: Open Days & Information Session

It has been a busy month for Leben Homes! We held our first ever Open Day in Mackay, followed quickly by a Home & Living Session in Bowen and our first Open Day in Rockhampton only a week later.

What an incredible turnout! We were overwhelmed by the interest and support shown at all of our events and even more thrilled to meet NDIS participants, their family members, allied health professionals, and members of the local community in person.

Our open days provided us with a fantastic opportunity to show visitors first-hand the specialised features that have been incorporated into our SDA homes to support people with disabilities. From wheelchair accessible doorways to adjustable height benchtops and a hydrotherapy pool, each aspect of the homes had been carefully designed to make daily living easier and more comfortable for those with disabilities.

The open day events allowed us ample time to tour visitors through the homes and answer questions through an information session followed by Q&A. We came away with an even better understanding of how essential the development of our high-quality SDA homes truly is.

Mackay Open Day - 22 March

We were impressed with the level of interest and engagement from everyone who came down to Pleasant Hill, Mackay keen to learn more about our four apartments. With the support from disability service provider Aruma and SDA provider Inhab Australia, we welcomed over 100 visitors, among them Mrs Julieanne Gilbert, MP Member for Mackay, and the teams from WIN News Mackay and Channel 7 Mackay.

Rockhampton Open Day - 29 March

Our Rockhampton SDA Open Day was no less of a success! We toured dozens of visitors through our SDA homes including Rockhampton’s own Mayor Tony Williams. The team from WIN News Rockhampton and Channel 7 Rockhampton joined in too to capture the excitement and interest from all visiting parties. Our information session was made that much more informative for visitors with the support of team members from Adapt Housing and LiveBetter.

The Bowen Home & Living Session - 23 March

In addition to the successful open days held in Mackay and Rockhampton, we also held a Home & Living Session in Bowen. The session was designed to help shed some light on SDA and provide attendees with a better understanding of what it is and how the application process works.

The session was a great success, with attendees showing a keen interest in the topic. With the support of experts in their fields, including representatives from SDA Services, Bowen Flexi Care, and InHab Australia, we were able to answer questions and provide valuable insights into the world of SDA. The session was particularly helpful for those who are considering applying for SDA, as it provided a clear understanding of what is required and what to expect during the application process.

At Leben Homes, we take great pride in building SDA homes that are both functional and beautiful. The open days and information session gave us a wonderful opportunity to share our vision with the community.

We believe that the success of the open days speaks to the importance of building specialised disability accommodation for people with disabilities. There is a growing need for these types of homes, and Leben Homes NDIS is at the forefront of meeting this need. We are dedicated to building homes that provide comfort, support, and a sense of community for people with disabilities.
