Mackay SDA Progress Update
It’s an exciting time at Leben Homes. Our Rockhampton SDA is almost complete but our progress isn’t slowing down – our new SDA in Mackay isn’t far behind! The slab is down, the frame is up, bricks have been laid and the plasterboard is going in. We are thrilled to announce that our 4 High Physical Support, Fully Accessible & Improved Liveability SDA homes are expected to be completed in early 2023.
We’re working closely with the wonderful teams at Aruma and Inhab Australia to help you find your perfect home inside one of our gold-standard SDA apartments.
Aruma is a disability service provider that has partnered with around 5000 people with disability throughout the east coast of Australia. InHab Australia is an NDIS registered provider of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and Specialist Support Coordination Services dealing exclusively in accommodation solutions with over 40 years experience.

What to expect at our Mackay SDA
We designed our SDA homes in accordance with the Australian National Construction Code and the SDA Design Standard to meet the requirements for the High Physical Support, Fully Accessible & Improved Liveability accommodations categories. Each of our four apartments are made with essential design features like:
an auto-controlled entrance to the unit
an auto-controlled bedroom entrance
provisions for an overhead hoist to provide access between the bedroom and the ensuite.
an auto-controlled garage door
a building entrance that accommodates access by wheelchair
a secure entrance that is auto-controlled by residents and requires visitors to call-in
an auto-controlled lift door
Our Mackay SDA will also use high-quality finishes and cutting-edge technology and include features that go above and beyond the SDA Design Standard with inclusions like:
a calming and serene hydrotherapy pool with the provisions for an overhead hoist
a relaxing sensory garden complete with a designated space for lawn games and a herb wall growing basil, parsley, oregano, thyme and mint.
a balcony in each apartment with an auto-controlled entrance and step-free access
